LEBANON GIVING CAMPAIGN
CRITICAL SITUATION
Lebanon has become home to the largest number of Syrian refugees per capita in the world—30% are Syrian refugees. The COVID-19 situation added to the political, financial and economic complexity. The country is diving rapidly into a complex poverty situation, with protests growing across the country in response. The World Bank estimates that more than 50% of Lebanese are under the poverty line. IMPACT OF YOUR GENEROSITY Support our partner on the ground Mercy Corps to focus on hygiene promotion and kits essential during this period to avoid infection, especially in Syrian Refugee informal settlements. Together we can provide around 250 PPE kits for every $5000 donated. Mercy Corps will also provide Gender Based Violence support and food kits to families who have been hit hard by the COVID-19 crisis. OUR MISSION Give to the World assists stabilization efforts in the most conflict-ridden and conflict-threatened areas of the world by providing the life-saving resources necessary to strengthen families and communities in their daily struggle for survival. Your contributions save lives, alleviate suffering, restore dignity, and provide the foundation for further economic, political, and social development. |
