CRITICAL SITUATION
Indigenous people in Colombia disproportionately lack access to electricity and clean water due to geographical remoteness, inadequate infrastructure, historical marginalization, and limited government resources. Since 2018, we have provided clean water and solar panels to 15 schools in Colombia, and emergency food packs to Venezuelan refugees in Colombia. |
2023 Q1 IMPACT
With our partners, Tierra Grata, we improved hygiene in 10 rural schools by installing eco toilets and water filters, filtering 4,000 liters of water to reduce chance of gastrointestinal disease. 790 students and school staff across indigenous communities trained in installing, maintaining, and repairing clean water systems.
